These boots are rugged yet have the same high quality leather and workmanship I have come to expect from Mephisto. I wear Mephisto shoes due to foot problems and have never been disappointed. The previous review questioning the value in these boots is seriously uninformed. The boots are worth every penny

Mephisto probably makes the best footwear in the world. Prices are actually significantly less than many high end designer brands which aren't 1/4 as good and can easily cost $1,500. The comfort is phenomenal even in this substantial boot. Plenty of room in the toe box and all other parts of the boot, but still with serious feel and traction at any point or angle. The previous reviewer is sadly mistaken when he says you can find a boot for 10% of the price that is just as good. Unless you get an amazing deal on something pre-owned and heavily worn, the average boot for 10% of the price is as far from the quality of this boot as a hawk from the moon. It's amusing to read this kind of stuff, though. :-) This boot will take on almost any job and lasts forever. I've worn almost every significant brand the world. Nothing beats the quality and comfort of the best Mephisto shoes and boots, and this is another one of them.

People say these shoes are expensive - they are not- they are likely the least expensive and best value on the market considering their durability! These boots are incredibly comfortable and the craftsmanship is second to none.
