Twenty-five years ago Baffin Footwear began manufacturing moulded insulated and non-insulated footwear products. While traditional moulded boots are suitable for some conditions they are not ideal for cold temperatures. Baffin combines leading molding technology with a foam-based inner boot system, which creates a hybrid style of high performance footwear. This equates to more warmth, better fit, and superior comfort. Baffin uses an unrivalled 8-layer combination of materials that is used in their boots that are rated to -148 degree fahrenheit temperature range. Baffin boots are different to most shoes and work boots because the sole and midsole is moulded to the base in one continuous process. The sole itself is a marvel of modern engineering because it is made up of several advanced thermo-set polymers that are combined together to achieve the right balance of warmth, protection, low weight and grip. They slip on fairly easily, have a snug, but not too tight fit, are very comfortable and warm, breathe well, and have good traction. They're true to size for me. Height isn't mentioned in the description; they're 6" high.
After running errands for about 2 hours, the balls of my feet were hurting. But I don't think there's room for another cushion.
Unfortunately, they're made in China, but at least Baffin admits it (unlike Kamik). Even more unfortunate is that all rubber boots I researched are made in China.
When I contacted Baffin with some question about this and other models, they always promptly answered the phone and responded to emails.

Ordered brown, got black. Ordered a full size larger to slip them on and off easier and they are so tight I lose circulation and it takes me forever to get them on. Ended up giving them to someone with 3 size smaller feet and they are fine.

Great product... I have had 2 hip replacements and was looking for a comfy, grippy shoe in snow. Nice quality. Easy to get on and off. Very toasty.
